Who can apply
Paid summer internships are open to second-year students in the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures and the School of Social Sciences.
Courses
The internships are open to undergraduate courses in:
- Criminology BA
- Economics (Data Analytics pathway only) BA
- English Language BA
- Law with Criminology LLB
- Linguistics BA
- Philosophy BA
- Politics and International Relations BSocSc
- Politics, Philosophy and Economics BA
- Social Sciences (any pathway) BASS
- Sociology BSocSc
- Social Anthropology BSocSc
- Any of the joint BA honours courses that include Linguistics or English Language.
Application criteria
You should be on course for a 2.1 degree classification or higher. So, you should have gained 60% or above across 120 credits in Year 1 AND be performing at this level in Year 2.
You must also be enrolled on one of these course units:
- Advanced Statistics
- Essentials of Survey Design and analysis
- How to Conduct Politics Research
- Making Sense of Criminological Data
- Making Sense of Politics
- Market Research
- Modelling Criminological Data
- Politics in Numbers
- The Survey Method in Social Research
- Variationist Sociolinguistics
- Quantitative methods in Language Sciences
